"No fair! College basketball video games always seem to get the advantage of the NBA games because they use the same game engines and they come out later, which gives developers more time to improve them. But if you're a video game basketball fan who's contemplating leaving the NBA and going back to school, this is the year to do it. College Hoops 2K7 jumps on the NBA 2K7 game engine and takes it a hop step further to emphasize the unique strategy and energy of college hoops" Read Full Review

"The fact that College Hoops 2K7 is starting to feel a little “old hat” doesn’t hold it back from being a fun basketball title. There’s just barely enough new stuff to warrant a purchase from those who already took the plunge with 2K Sports’ NBA game. The atmosphere of a true-to-life college basketball game comes right through, both the screen and the speakers, perfectly. Couple the Legacy Mode with the online offering and you’ve got one of the deepest games this side of Oblivion (2K apparently has a knack for deep games)." Read Full Review

"Despite the aging gameplay, still with its host of problems, College Hoops 2K7 is better than ever, if only slightly. 2K continues to shine in the presentation department, and the amount of options you have to tweak everything will blow you away. Visually, it’s a good looking sports title, although the arenas and crowd often look like high-res current-gen stuff. The sound is where 2K really excels, especially with the irresistibly evil Chant Creator. Despite the kung-fu lip synching of Gumbel and Kellogg, there is a lot of great info in the College Hoops Tonight that makes for an immersive Legacy. The team unity feature makes it even more fulfilling to pencil your team onto the tournament bracket. College Hoops 2K7 is great off the floor and good on the floor, but it could be a lot better, especially with missed lay-ups, passing and defensive pressure." Read Full Review

"The Xbox 360 version is the best of the bunch, featuring the gorgeous visuals you've come to expect. The sounds of the college buildings will fill up your room, with the school bands cranking out fight songs and the crowd reacting wildly to all the goings-on. Speaking of the fans, our favorite 360-only feature, hands down, is the Create-a-Chant. It's surprisingly easy to use, with all sorts of letters, drums, and words you can use to combine to make the strangest cheers imaginable. There's something ludicrously fun about having your home crowd scream "Brown buckets catch stink!" after you nail a three-pointer. We don't know what that really means, and it's probably in very poor taste, but it's funny as hell. We would have liked to see some of the Achievements be less ridiculous, though; one of them wants you to get nothing but great feedback from your opponents - like that would ever happen after you lay a 30-point beatdown on some poor sap. Unless you've already got NBA 2K7 and an empty wallet, College Hoops NCAA 2K7 deserves a spot in your rotation. So go ahead - grab your books and head back to campus. You'll learn something, we guarantee." Read Full Review

"College Hoops 2K7 is a good game that does a nice job of capturing the look, feel, and sound of college basketball. There's no shortage of things to do, be it controlling every aspect of a program in legacy mode or creating custom crowd chants--you can lose yourself in the game for hours on end. However, casual fans may want to consider College Hoops 2K6, which came out just eight months ago and can be found for 40 dollars less." Read Full Review

"Once the National Champion confetti's cleared, this game stands alone as the best college basketball on the market. That's, in part, because it's the only game on the market (EA's NCAA March Madness 07 tips off in February), but there's no reason to believe that College Hoops 2K7 will suffer an upset come March." "It's easy to see this game's potential for greatness, and it's a shame that we'll have to wait for the 2K8 game to see where the franchise is headed. This could have been the best basketball game this year if more effort would have been put into bringing real improvements to last year's game instead of just subtle tweaks. Still, College Hoops 2K7 remains one of the better sports games available and your best bet if you can't get enough of stamping your feet to your college fight song ." Read Full Review

Anyone looking to still get this game who likes basketball definitely should. I love it, probably my favorite game I have right now. I love the career legacy mode. I dont even remember how far I am into mine but its so much fun building your team up. Im currently at Clemson and I have won 4 or 5 national championships with a variety of teams. A few glitches here and there with the ball when you watch replays and stuff but other than that its amazing.
