Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

![]() ![]() Publisher: Electronic Arts Developer: Electronic Arts Release Date: May 8, 2007 Decription: The critically-acclaimed Command & Conquer™ series returns with Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars™. This highly-anticipated next chapter takes the popular series back to its roots in the Tiberium Universe and features the fast, fluid gameplay that Command & Conquer is known for and an epic story that will redefine storytelling and set the standard for the single player experience for Real-time Strategy (RTS) games. (description from Ebgames.com) The Critics 90- GamePro __________________________________________ "Tiberium Wars might boast superior graphics and modern gameplay, but it still retains a potent kernel of nostalgia that's actually nurtured by the story's reliance on ham-fisted live-action cut-scenes." » Read Full Review 87- GameSpot __________________________________________ "There's a good set of achievements to unlock, including a few zero-point ones that pop up should you lose a few too many multiplayer games in a row or bypass the tutorial mission. But it's all just icing on the proverbial cake, since playing Tiberium Wars is a reward unto itself. Not only is it a great game, but it's a great example of a console RTS done right. If you've never played a Command & Conquer game before, there's no better time than the present." » Read Full Review 83- Teamxbox __________________________________________ "Does C&C 3 catch the elusive lightning of success in a bottle? The answer isn’t a simple yes or no, just like with LotR: BfMe. It’s clear that EA learned some lessons and made more than a couple of changes from one game to the next—with most of them landing firmly in the “improved” column. Its playability is also proof that the RTS can’t be counted out when it appears outside the PC realm. " » Read Full Review 82- IGN __________________________________________ "If you can, you’ll want to play Command & Conquer 3 on the PC. If you can’t, the Xbox 360 version is good enough that it is definitely worth playing. The fast paced nature of the game can make things a little bit frustrating in the story mode, especially when you can’t quickly reload a mission once things go sour. Even so, the presentation and good mission design work with the decent controls to make for an enjoyable game. The online play has a great feature set and with a level playing field is great fun. When you put it all together, you’ve got one impressive little game." » Read Full Review 70- 1up __________________________________________ "We're sure Tiberium Wars will still find a following in the Xbox Live community, though. After all, people are still playing Battle for Middle-earth II today, and C&C3's super-shortcut controls should prove popular...overly magnetic cursors or not. Just save yourself a lot of grief and don't play too far into the single-player campaign...." » Read Full Review 70- Games Radar __________________________________________ "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a damned sight better than last year’s LOTR: Battle for Middle Earth II, but the EA guys have had the better part of a year to come up with a better control scheme and, to be blunt, they just haven’t delivered. There’s a lot of gaming glory in here, with three campaigns and an admirably comprehensive online mode, but the control set-up really is a mountainous obstacle to overcome if you want to get in and enjoy it." » Read Full Review 70- Yahoo! Games __________________________________________ "You have to give EA credit for this gutsy attempt, but it doesn't quite work. Although it's hard to see how the controls could be improved, at the same it's not hard to see that improvements are necessary if console real-time strategy games are ever going to be an easy alternative to those on the PC. There's no reason to consider the 360 version of C&C 3 if you have a PC that meets the (comparatively modest) requirements to play the original version. Like eating soup with chopsticks, it's perfectly possible to enjoy it, but you're probably going to leave the table feeling like a spoon would have made a lot more sense." » Read Full Review __________________________________________ To learn more about "The Critics" section visit: The Critics Explanation For indexes of all the games covered in The Critics area, visit: Index by Title or Index by Score

I actually have this game, and it is definately an 80-90s game, I cant believe that some sites actually gave it 70! It has a very interesting story line, and I love all the little cut scenes.
