"Even though The Orange Box deserves accolades regarding the amount of "bang for your buck," it's really about quality here, not quantity. Aside from the fact that you're receiving five games on one disc, the craftsmanship that has gone into each of these titles rears its head with every Antlion you shoot, every high-velocity portal transfer you make, and every sentry gun you assemble. The amazing part is that these three diverse games are all running on the same engine. We cannot overstate the fact that if you are an Xbox 360 owner, there are few games this year that can match up to what Valve is offering here. It's hard to imagine anyone who buys The Orange Box regretting their purchase for a second."

And although PC players may crow that their version of The Orange Box experience is superior because of their mouse-keyboard controls and ability to purchase contents à la carte from Steam, console gamers have nothing to fear: Despite the minor hassle of using the D-pad to switch through multiple tiers of weapons, the games control fine with the joypad. And, seriously, even at $60, Orange Box is value-priced to the point of philanthropy."

"So, is The Orange Box the best bargain in gaming? While there might be longer games (Oblivion, for example) or games that pack more titles onto a single disc (any of the “classic” compilations), this is a near-perfect blend of varied games. I had a blast playing the game for dozens of hours, and I’m looking forward to playing it even more (I gotta beat Episode One with only one bullet!). Although this is undeniably one of the must-own games for the Xbox 360, we have a few questions. Will we be getting Episode Three over Xbox Live? And where’s our Counter-Strike: Source?"

"There's nothing else available on any console like The Orange Box. Though you could argue that Half-Life 2 is old news by now, there are still four components of the Box brand new to consoles. That so much great content is offered at the standard single-game price is astonishing. Playing through Half-Life 2 again and then continuing on through Episodes One and Two is like batting with the '27 Yankees. These are Hall of Fame titles; it doesn't get much better than this. Throw in Portal, an imaginative puzzle game with a wicked sense of humor, and Team Fortress 2, one of the few multiplayer games to get the class system right, and you have a tremendous package. And all on one disc. While Portal and TF2 may not be strong enough to stand on their own, coupled with the Half-Life titles, The Orange Box really is one of the best games ever released."

I am definitely buying this. I didn't realize that all these games were being released in one pack!

I'd pay $60 for just Half-Life 2 on 360, but with the 4 extra games offered, the deal is just too sweet to resist

Pretty much looks like you get a superb single player experience with Half-Life 2, a fun little diversion with Portal, and then some multiplayer fun with Team Fortress 2

That game looks so sick..im defiantly getting this.

I was 99 percent sure i was going to get this game, but because of halo 3, i just don't want another shooting game. I know all about the game, but thats my decision. It does indeed look amazing.

I don't know if i can get it now, i have a couple people on my Friends List playing it but i just got Halo 3 last week or 2 weeks ago or whenever it was and a few days before that i got skate. So the only way i would be able to get it is trade in more games which i don't want to do right now, I'm going to try and get it as fast as i can cause it really looks good.
