![]() Would this work? Would the xbox360 wireless network adapter pick the signal up from my upstairs computer (upstairs computer picks signal up from downstairs computer). If i did it this way around then would i still need the SSID off the router downstairs or would i not need this ID as the xboxlive connection signal would be given off by the computer upstairs (basically could the signal be picked up from my upstairs computer without needing amny SSID codes from my downstairs computer (would it be just a case of pluggin the wireless network adapter into my xbox360 , accepting incoming connections on my computer settings and puchasing my subscription card, would that be all i needed to do? Oh and sorry for double posting

Hey, great thread. I followed your instructions for the ICS connection, but as detailed in this thread here I'm not able to get online because of Windows 2000 having ICS issues. I was able to get a software called Ethernet Bridge, which is located within the link from another forum and it's supposed to enable ICS.
The thing is, when I do the network test, the X360 fails to connect to the network. Any ideas? Know how I could test my ethernet cable (don't have access to router/modem, uncle is worried about me messing it up...) to see if it works? I'm gonna try getting another cable, but I doubt that's the issue, would you know of another way to force ICS on Win 2000 that doesn't require this particular program? Maybe it's just this Ethernet Bridge software giving me trouble on top of the OS not allowing for ICS manually for some reason... |
