Overall the gameplay is better, but the new features aren't really revolutionary and franchise is the same thing we've been getting the last 3 years. Even though the gameplay is better we still have those really annoying incidents. For example I made the tight end do a simple out play, right as he cut I threw the ball and the QB throws it right at the ground. And multiple times the QB throws it to the defender who is 5 yards away from the intended receiver. Doesn't really make the gameplay bad or anything but it is pretty annoying. It's a big improvement from 08 though.

Do you run and throw it at the same time? That's usually what causes you're QB to miss the throw. Plant the feet then throw, that's all i can think of. I haven't got one of those problems yet so i don't really know.

Yeah it just happened to me in my last game. I was using the Colts and I threw a simple slant route to harrison. it was a perfect route, i throw the ball and it goes straight to the ground in front of harrison, almost as if the game wanted him to dive for it.

I need to get better at pass defense though. im good at defending the run but man it seems impossible to stop those little slant routes. and there have been multiple times where i called the perfect defense to stop a pass and even with 2-4 defenders around a guy he still completes it, and even though I press Y to try and intercept it the DB doesnt even jump

Use Zone defenses for short passes, and instead of hitting Y, use A to just slap down the ball.

I'll try that. I still don't get why the DB doesn't go for the pick even though I press Y, it seems to only work if the receiver isn't right on him.

i might get this game in 2009, 2010, or 2011, when it costs like 4 bucks. i hope ill be able to get madden 08, and nba 08 by next year maybe.

That's exactly what i do. It's been working like a charm lately. Although i have been getting some userpicks, it'll be thrown above my linebacker and all i need to do is hit B then Y and he jumps and makes the catch.

I used it my first few games because I was throwing a lot of picks. I turned it off now that I got the hang of it, should only be used if your new to the game.
