I been meaning to post this here. On Virmire you have that little chat with Sovereign, who claims it "transcends your very existence" and "the reapers are part of a cycle that cannot be stopped" and "it doesnt matter what reapers are called, they simply are."

Of course this forshadows new antagonists for Mass Effect 2. I wonder what the reapers will be like.

I don't know that we'll fight them... unless they have super "human sized" versions of themselves. I guess there could be space battles but that doesn't really fit this game. I bet we'll see more of them how we saw them in the final battle... taking over someone's body.

I think that they'll probably have something to do with taking over the bodies of individuals; however, I also think that they might actually be ships like we saw in the game. They are massive synthetic ships that can pass from ship to organic like in the game. And I definitely think that they will appear again in the next game.

I think somewhere they said Sovereign, was a Scout for these So Called Reapers, and Scouts are usually smaller the the rest.

But, when I think ov The Reapers, I think ov the Machines in The Matrix, just more BA and Deadly

And they're probably Human sized Reapers. I just don't see how Massive Machines invading a tiny planet, Killing everything, without destroying the planet itself.

I think Sovereign is just a baby, a child and the true reapers will show them selves,,,and they will be great!

Yeah, the universe is roughly 14 billion years old...they could have easily evolved to become more dominant over the species they try to overturn...

I don't think we would actually fight a reaper. That ship is massive. It would be cool if we had to go inside of one and destroy it internally. The reapers creep me out man that voice is controlling

^Regardless my statement still holds. When something claims to have been around for as long as the Reapers claim... 50,000+ years isn't very long.

If the reaper cycle has continued on for millions of years, then 50,000 years is very little...so gravity is right.

Kinda weird. I wonder why the reapers continue this cycle of destruction and rebirth.
