Alright I just got to level 60 on my 3rd playthrough finally. Felt great to get that achievement. But I'm worried about getting the ally achievements. I made sure not to activate any side quests/main quests until I got Garrus and Tali. I have completed 45 side quests but I'm not sure how many main quests. Because some of the main quests are for getting Wrex/Garrus and I'm not sure if those count. Do you really need 15 main quests for the achievement? Because I should have gotten them before Ilos and I haven't gotten them yet.

I usually didn't get most of my ally achievements until right after I got onto Ilos. It seems to be somewhat sporadic.

No... usually I got it after I talked with the computer dude. Sometimes when I landed too... it's a hard achievement to gauge...

Alright thanks. Ive done a crapload of sidequests so i should be alright.

The ally achievements piss me off cuz you have to have the particular allies basically 100% of the time. You can't switch it up and you have to do almost every sidequest. Cool that you got 60, though.

I did all side quests and all main missions along without virmire and i jsut got ally for my two peeps.

I've done 45 side quests and every main mission up to Ilos and haven't gotten the achievement yet. I'm going to do some more side quests and finish Ilos if I have to.. If I still don't get it I'm going to be mad.

I got a few, just haven't played a lot.

Oh my god. I just beat the game again and no achievements. I counted 46 completed side quests and I did every main quest that I could.. wtf is up with these damn achievements

How I did it, which I think I've said before, is I don't do anything I don't have to do. Meaning: if the mission doesn't allow me to reach the characters I need I won't do it until I have the characters. I skipped a lot of stuff and went back later and did it.

That's exactly what I did. Did you complete any of the mineral gathering side quests? Or the ones where you have to find asari capsules/turian emblems?
