Default For those who have a wii or ps3

How does the 360 compare to those two?

I know their are some stuff that the other consoles have that i wished that we had but i think i can live without them, like blu ray and browser

My friend has a Wii. And the graphics blow, the games are all rated E, and there is just no fun to be had with the weird motion sensored controller on games that shouldn't be motion controlled.

I find it funny that the wii has an attachment for the motion controller that adds more accuracy....

"Ah, here is something that costs you $$ that shuld have been in the controlelr whenwe first sold the wii"

i have yet to play a wii, but the ps3's motion sensing sucks to me. i dont like it. but in some games it is easier to use it then.

but what i perfer over the 360 about the ps3, is its bluray. the discs are durable and very resistant to scratches, also alows bigger games with 50 gb discs. and with the release of 400gb discs already its getting better. upgradeable hdd, up to 500 gb. its a bluray player. and sony being mostly a hardware company, when i use the ps3 it feels more durable than the 360, a longer lasting machine, especially since it doesnt suffer from failure like the 360. the online service is free, you can use any bluetooth headset you want. up to 7 controllers. allows 3rd party accessory usage. built in wireless. 5 or 6 person chat rooms. browser. modability. the approval service with updates takes less time than the 360's.

what i dont like about the ps3, is that as of now no ingame chat is availiable. no voice messaging. system software is updated constantly, and takes forever to download. not many great games like the 360. no cross game invites (invites from xmb). joining games in progress functionality like 360. game install sizes are 5gb and under so if you have alot of games you'll need a bigger hdd. ingame xmb is somewhat choppy, and doesnt allow access to all features. limited avatar support.

alot of this stuff is expected to be added with a system update later this year. so my dislike list should decrease.

it didnt happen to me, and it happened only to handful of people. they pulled it then reissued the update. so everythings alright now.

but it wasnt a huge problem, all you had to do is format the hdd then itll work fine.

I have all 3. The Wii is cool in short bursts. I play it maybe 30 minutes a week. It seems more like a "party" console. You play when friends come over. The PS3 is pretty weak sauce. I like the Bluray bit but for the most part I'd rather play games on my 360 than on my PS3. I've yet to play a PS3 exclusive that is worth it. I'm hoping Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 will be good. I've got Haze but haven't played it yet.

ALSO... a big thing that pisses me off with the PS3 is it isn't backwards compatible at all. I can't play God of War, Disgeia or Kingdom Hearts on it and I don't really want to hook up another console to my TV. I find this to be pretty stupid.

^ I agree.

I do like the Wii because of all the classics it has, and I did think about buying one just to play a couple of games, but I'm staying with my 360.

no there isnt. i have assassins creed on the ps3, and it loads exactally the same as the xbox 360 version. infact it probably loads faster than the 360 version since its isntalled on the hard drive.

well if you put in assassins creed for the first time on the ps3, then it was installing. alot of ps3 games do that, it has to copy the game data to the hdd.

afterwards it loads like normal.

^You beat me to it. It is pretty cool how the PS3 does that the first time and then I think things load quicker after that.
