So I am thinking about getting a DS for travel once I get in the navy. Also just for something to play instead my 360 all the time. So what are great games for it and how many colors are there lol.

ds sucks. i sold mine cause it was so boring. if you want a portable system get a psp. but since you dont want one, i say dont get anything. if you really do plan on joining the navy, you should have plenty to do. so you might not even have time to play.

I know I would have plenty to do during my shift but waiting around or flying any where I would want one.

Theres lots of fun innovative games like Ace Attorney i hear is good, and iv seen many colors. Once saw a red one with a dragon and Chinese script on it, looked awesome, so you can probably find some cool designs if not wanting a plain color.

Get a DS and get a game where you have to shout and yell voice commands. XD All your ship-mates will think you're weird.

I'm also looking at FF7 for the DS. I've herd alot from people being so great before on the older systems. So I think I might give it a try would it be any good?

I have a DS that I use whenever I'm flying some place. I play Mario DS and Assassin's Creed.

The DS has a lot of great titles, but most of them are pretty old and you'll have difficulty finding them in stores. The DS is probably the best platform out there for RPGs since Square Enix insists on releasing great games for the DS every month. Right now, I'm addicted to Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
