does anyone else agree? microsoft ****in takes advantage of people and over prices everything, limits compatibility with certain functions forcing you to buy their products and even charges for things that should be free.

all of this is xbox related.

examples of over pricing
- xbox 120 gig hdd: i read on the internet that the 120 gig hdd is somewhere between 100 and 80 dollars overpriced. which is ****in ridiculous. 320 gigabyte hard drives cost that much. supposedly they cost around 20-40 dollars to manufacture, giving microsoft a profit of 120 dollars or more.
- xbox 512 mem card: 50 dollars for a ****in 512 mb memory card when a 1-4 gb usb stick costs about 20 dollars. get ****in real.

forcing you to buy their products
- memory cards/usb/xbox: you cant use usb memory sticks as memory cards which is bs. the ps3/wii however allows that feature. forcing you to spend 50-30 dollars extra just to backup your game saves.
- practically forcing gamers to upgrade their hdd: since the standard hdd is 20gb, but its really only 10 gb due to the system software or whatever. and if your casual with gaming like me, who plays whenever your bored, and downloads content on there, then you might be looking at a tight amount of space left on your hdd. therefore microsoft is practically forcing you to upgrade to a 120 gb hdd.

things that should be free/should have came with the game
- themes/gamer pics: charging money for pictures and themes. things that should be ****in free. wtf is microsoft ****in thinking?! when i first saw this i couldnt ****in believe it. like these muther ****ers are robbing every last penny from you or some ****. ****!
- dlcs: expansion packs are different and should cost money, but i think that **** that should have came with the game, but was post phoned to a dlc and ends up costing you an extra 5-10 dollars is ****in bull ****.

i know that microsoft has been sued in the past by other companies for forcing users to use their products before.

i hope xbox starts changing their game plan for the xbox 3, or the 360 soon, and start making their **** more reasonable. id rather hack the console and risk the warranty than pay for all this ****.

We all knew how M$ worked. Ever since it first came out. Its just business. Of course the Xbox 360 is the most advanced out of the three systems so we just went with it.

I personally just got this system because of the great game line-up.

Since when is technology free? You should know that it is expensive to buy all of the stuff if you want to keep up. Stop complaining about it because no one feels sympathy for anyone who complains about things being to over priced because they won't do anything about it. Go by a PS3 or Wii if these things make you mad and quit complaining.

Yes, and this is new because? I have never bought a HDD from MS. I still have the 20 GB from my first Xbox. Why I need a new one? No I don't there for agro of not losing money.

Actually the Wii charges you for some things, they have a marketplace as well.

But i do agree with Steveo it is ridiculous, but theres nothing you can do about it. Not worth complaining over.

everyone went for the 360 because its middle class, its affordable and great price. but the accessories are ****in ridiculous. the game lineup is great though.

since when is this **** supposed to be overpriced? i could make a 120 gb, hdd for the 360 for $100 less.

im just saying if you dont have an elite console or 120gb hdd. and since ms only starts you out with 10gb, and they put game content/demos up to 1gb, games up to 7gb, and movies up to 8gb, theres virtually not enough space to store all that. forcing those who rent movies buy games/content/demos to get a new hdd.

but fortunately the wii or ps3 doesnt charge for pictures or themes (as far as i know of). and unfortunately ms, doesnt allow you to hack or mod, or they'll ban you from any service of theirs, and forces you to buy their product.

You do realize you could DELETE all the extras (movies and crap like that) that the 360 comes with and end with 18.2 (ish) GB.

And if you can make a 120 GB hard drive for less then do it. Or better yet, mod your 360 hard drive with a bigger memory because you don't send in your hard drive if by chance you end up with a RRoD.

I think you need to grow up ST3VO. I could buy things in life for much cheaper than they really should be but they still cost much more. Look at gas, it could cost much less, but since the Middle East has the world by the balls, they can charge us however much they please. Just like how MS can charge us however much they want. Your just going to have to deal with it. Complaining isn't going to do anything. Actions speak louder than words, so do something about it instead of whining to about 20 or so people.

i can delete movies, and demos. but purchased game content? or other content as well? what about updates? surely delting game content wont clear up that much space, especially if you have as much content as me and others. of course most of you dont seem to agree with me since you havent crossed that bridge yet, and when you do you'll see. i have about 2 gigs of space left, and with extra game content, and movies i wish to download. its just not enough space, and im trying to future proof my system. deleting them and redownloading them just to save money is just a waste of time, and the cost of the hdd is ridiculous. even though it is a luxury item, it is still ridiculous waste of time and money regardless of which side you take. which is why i posted this in the rant room.

dude, if "no one" wants to read my complaints then dont read them, and dont respond or reply to them, its that easy. not everything is overpriced. if you read my post i said that a 320gb hdd costs 180 dollars. that tells me that microsoft is just overpricing everything.
