When I put in Halo 2 an update popped up, I downloaded it. Problem is it's not working on Live, I get an error. Help please.

Also, is your xbox live gamertag silver or gold?

It says "You have an important message, go to your dashboard" or something. And I think I payed for 6 months, not sure. Maybe a year.

OK, go to your dashboard. The important message is that you have been suspended (if you cheated on Halo 2), or something is wrong with your account (credit card not valid, changed address, etc).

So when you try and connect, click go to dashboard and type what it says.

I went to the usual dashboard and it had the same layout, but when I go to messages I didn't get any messages besides some friend requests.

Look around, try sending messages, Lock at settings, test live, try to Dal something, try to cover everything that might be suspended.

Not the messages that your friends send you. When it gives you that error, FROM THAT SCREEN it will give you the option to view there messages. View it!

My Xbox 360 games work online, Halo 2 was the only Xbox game I tried online

Try membership or something. For me I could view the message. But that was for the Xbox. Call 1-800-4MYXBOX.

ok i'm pretty sure i had this problem too with my little brother's new account. go to your accoutn "family settings" click on one of the things like privacy or something make original xbox games allowed and then make all of the settings allowed. this should happen if you are under 18.

i had a problem with it, I just switched it off and on again,after I downloaded the update, maybe its parental settings.
