Exclamation Is Buffing a CD good?

Well jus 2 weeks ago...my Halo 3 Cd couldnt read any more maps but the game could play. I know its not the 360 nor the hardrive beacuse i could play other games. Right now im playin' Halo 3 but its my friends, and im thinking of buffing my Halo 3 CD, is buffing a 100% success?

I don't think it's a 100% success for the CD but it does help. Because i know when you buy used games they buff them before they sell them and they don't always turn out great, so i don't think it will be completely fixed but it should definitely help it.

I don't think it takes everything out, then it be a brand new disc pretty much. Then they wouldn't sell used games.

I don't get your arguement?

If they buffed the CD's and they're 30$ less, why wouldn't you buy it?

Buffing does not work. It actually makes it worse.

You're saying that they would still sell used games if they didn't buff them, I'm saying thats why they sell used games is because they're not in perfect condition and they wont be in perfect condition even if you buff them. Therefor buffing does not make your disc nice and shiny like it's brand new.

Used just means someone used it, not that the disc is all ****ed up

I know .. all I'm saying is that by the stores buffing their games they're able to sell them cheaper. It's part of the reason why they do sell them. They're not going to sell a complete ****ed up game .. so what do they do? They buff it, make it playable. Not perfect condition but you can play it.

Actually a lot of places now since around 07' have started testing the games and then selling them used.
Either way they're going to be cheaper, buffed or not.
If it's not playable they won't take it, buffed or not.
