well idk how this happened it was working fine, but the games i played were a bit glitchy lately, so i guess my console finally gave in.

my console is old, and the manufacture date is old as well. i also have the samsung drive which is the first model of 360's.

its may 31, 2008, i got my console september 2006 and the manufacture date is may 5, 2006. so if i recall the consoles were still experiencing problems around the time mine was manufactured.

no i just got the red lights a few hours ago, ill call tomorrow probably.

it was weird earlier today when i turned on the xbox it gave the red lights, i turned it off and it played fine after that. but then just a few hours ago when i turned it on again i got the red lights and it wouldnt go away.

Sucks bro. I've been one of the few lucky ones and have never gotten the 3RRoD and have had my 360 since June of 2006 (knock on wood). At least it's free. I kinda wish i did get the 3RRoD though because I've had overheating issues, and disc drive issues, it would be so much easier just to send it in and get a new one for free.

Dang your Xbox lasted way longer than mines. I got my first in Dec 06 and it crapped out in March 07.

You might not get a new one back. I sent mine in after it broke and got one back that was hella fast because mine was so slow to open menus and ****. Then it broke and they sent me another slow one, luck of the draw.

Because I live in England it's law that you get free warranty for a year if you keep the reciept. When i bought it the Xbox 360 premium cost alot. But when I went back to get another one they had dropped in price loads including the elite. So I paid 30 quid more and got an elite - the same day that my crappy old xbox broke.

They send you back defective Xbox's? Thats messed up, talk about torturing someone. Now i don't want, my brother has a brand new one so if it ever does brake, i could just use his. And my Xbox is so loud compared to his, it's ridiculous. But i guess I'm cool with this for now.

^Look at how many 360s I've been through. I've received... 4 replacements... 3 of which crapped out. The 4th is rarely used by a friend who is borrowing it and the one I use is a new Arcade console.

Maybe i should sell the one i have no to someone who wants one. Then go buy an Arcade one or something, then i have a brand new console. I'm thinking of what i could do to get a newer console. I hate having this one, it gets the job done which is allowing me to play my games but it's just so loud and has problems reading discs it gets annoying.
