It's probaly a router no extra ethernet slots I think I've got it I just need a different modem for it to work.

Have you checked your speed, beucse xbox live wouldn't work if your speed is low minimum.

yea if a phone line was capable of x speeds then a phone line would work. it checks speed when you log on :-p

Yes if you had cable going 56k you wouldn't be able to get on live. (I have no idea why you would go 56k on a cable line, if you did TRUN OFF EVERY COMPUTER!!) lol
