Okay so me and JRacer are here at my house trying to get his 360 hooked up to Xbox Live. But it just doesn't work for us. I do not have Roadrunner but I have SBC Yahoo! DSL the modem I have is just a regular Speedstream modem. My cords aren't long enough to do anything. Does anyone have any alternative ways to get hooked up to Xbox Live?

Sorry for the late response but im confused by your question...are you haveing a problem or... what? lol

if your problem is that your cord isnt long enough your solutions are:

Get a wireless adapter
Get a longer cord
Use the force

:-p

u gotta make sure that the ethernet cable is in the right place because sometimes pople make a mistake because they put it in the wrong part theres 2 possible places u could put it.

Yeah I've tried alot of alternatives but it's like it has to stay hooked to the computer for the internet to work. So any suggestions around this? This is the things I have in the modem:

1 Ethernet cable.

1 DSL Cable.

And 1 power supply.

And when I took it to my room to try out an alternative, it still didn't work...

I have tried and this is pretty much why I can't get online at my mom's house...except that my 30ft+ cord won't reach.

if you have a long enough cord it will work :/

Connect your ethernet cord from your modem into your 360 :/

Or are you running a router?

I will help you just need make/model info :-p
