For some reason my adapter stopped working when I put it in the back of my console and I put it in the front and it works. Im afraid since its sitting on top my 360 and when it gets hot my thing might burn up. IS IT SAFE? WHATS THE PROBLEM!

Are you using the $100 MS one becuse i herd them are crap. I just use a normal game adator B for mine.

As long as you keep your 360 well ventelated it should not burn up on top of it, most heat comes from the back of the 360 so you may even be better off for now. And did you examine the back usb port? it could have to do with that also
