I had a Xbox and recently upgraded to the 360. Live worked fine for me when I played on my Xbox. When I try to connect to live on the 360, the test always stops on the MTU Setting.:tumbleweed:I dont really know what this setting is and for some reason I cant get past it.

I connect live directly through my modem.

I would appreciate it if somebody could help me!!!!

Not really my area of expertice but I would suggest turning off your modem and then turning it back on. It may just need to "recognize" the new hardware. Anyone who knows what they're talking about wanna give this poor gamer some help?!

When you say your using a modem, does that mean your connecting ur 360 to a computer? That might be the best thing for you to do.

Yea i know home networking as does HappyCat, and while we would love to help you more information would be great. What error codes do you get when it fails at MTU, usually its when you dont have sufficent broadband speed >< Also what is the make and model of your modem

Isn't MTU the area that you are in what it connects too. Becuse mine was down too when xbox live wasn't online, it said that the areas that aren't online are like citys and area codes.

Ya live uses its own little network protocols, so if either one of us works for xbox live. I don' think we would know on top of our heads. Just need the codes and look it up on xbox.com.

solutions 1.call microsoft 2.or see if any plugs are unhooked3. see if ur connection is connected to ur 360 or xbox 1 by seeing ur connections by clicking start then going to connecting 4.best way to find out is 3y calling microsoft or going to xbox .com and clicking on trouble shooting and support then click on problems with connecting to xbox live

I will try to test live to find the error codes.
The name of my modem is called Efficient Networks SpeedStream 5260.
I do not use a router, but if i get one will that help?

Well you might have to set up your modem to use your 360 becuse its protoclos for it might be alittle different then just another computer conneting to it

O and did you do a gamertag recovery on your xbox 1 gamertag to put your gt on your 360?
