I posted this on Xbox.com but nobody is posting on it, i read this thing on how to fix it but its all so confusing. Help please.

Anyway the thread on Xbox.com got a reply and the guy said to call your service provider and tell them to change it or give you the code to do so...il wait abit more and see what replies i get.

Go to the Xbox 360 Dashboard>The Settings Blade>Network Settings>Edit Settings. and go to the bottom and click that and change to something that has a better connection and test you xbox live connection and it should be fixed.

Ok in Edit Network Settings, down the bottom it says - Wireless Mode, Network Name (SSID) Network Type and Wireless Security...when i select that section to edit all it has is the router i currently have connected and with an only option to type in another WEP key and under that, Specify Unlisted Network and Create Ad-Hoc Network which all have virtual keyboards to type network names in. Help again lol..no quite sure what to go into.

well from what i have found i can recommed that ub cheak that the settings of your firewalls have the ports
88 UDP 3074 UDP 3074 TCP all open if when u do this and test ur connection it still does not work set your consoles static ip address. In this case, select something like 192.168.2.27 also one more thing to try if this didnt work is to cheack that the UPnP on the router is set to on some times it will be set to off by default |
