Default Unreadable disc when disc is fine

I was in the middle of playing Oblivion when my 360 started making weird noises. Soon after a message came up saying the disc is unreadable. I pull it out and look at it. There are no scratches or dents. The disc is fine. I put it back in and it works but later that day the message comes up again.

I run into this problem every couple months or so I think its just a build up of dust. Get one of those DVD disc cleaners and run it through the 360 it should be fine after that for a while.

I think the problem in the 360s disc drive getting dusty. This issue happened to me when I had Xbox. It started happening so frequently and with so many games that I just got a replacement (luckily i had a warranty).

I only ran into this problem once when we tried to get our 360 fixed. We had the red lights (last year) and sent it to Microsoft, but without telling us, they sent us a replacement which had a faulty CD drive.

My friends Oblivion does this, and it doesn't look like theres a problem with the disc. But of course if it's for more than just that particular game, try getting something to clean the drive.

That is what I think is wrong with mine, the only thing that is keeping me from getting one is that I'm broke lol.

I haven't had that problem yet. Maybe your disk has smudges? I'm just throwing something out, but since it doesn't have dents or scratches, maybe it's a smudge. Sometimes smudges and make a disk unreadable. So try that. Clean the disk and try.

Exact same thing with me, i put in any disc and this white screen comes up that says: To play this disc you must put it in an Xbox 360 Console. Then it says that in a ton of different languages. I think im going to send mine in cause i cant handle this anymore unless theres a way to fix it.

If you guys have warranties you could always call up MS and get them to fix it. Of course though you have to wait all the time it takes to mail it, fix it, and mail it back

Thats why store warranties are great...they just give you a brand new console!
