Sorry i know this is Xbox 360 technical support but i dont know where else to post this so il do so here.

I just bought a new D-Link wireless router, yes i already have a modem with in-built router but it has Strict NAT settings that cannot be changed and im very sensative about my gaming experience so i went out and got a seperate router that is Xbox Live compatible for $170. Anyway it seems to work fine as i connected it to my modem via the supplied ethernet cable..i suppose thats how it works..i have a ADSL+2 modem which supplies my Internet but also has its own gateway, thats why i connect my new D-Link router to it to try and replace my default gateway with this one. All the lights are green which indicates success however..The steps on the installation cd tell me how to activate it using a setup wizard at http://192.168.0.1 but the page dosnt connect, after searching the net i saw alot of people have had the similar problem and before i call customer support (which usually never fixes my problem) im trying some stuff myself. I thought perhaps if i change the address of my Default Gateway (my modem/routers address) to 192.168.0.1 it may just click and all fall into place somehow, i dont have high knowledge in computers and stuff but i have a feeling this is worth a try but i dont know HOW to change your Default Gateway, so if anybody knows how please tell me and explain the steps to do so as it would be much apreciated.

EDIT: Nevermind, i found out how but it didnt fix the problem :'(

I have this same problems if your talking about NAT Restrictions, but it's not bothering me.

I hate everybody that has Open NAT and can host their own GoW matches and find hosts easily in games..You dont know what its like..iv bought and returned 2 routers, i return them out of frustration with all the ****ing problems ****ing technology has!!!! im fed up! i cant do it anymore, im bad luck THERE IS ALWAYS SOME LITTLE THING WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO CPMPUTERS AND ROUTERS ALWAYS!!

I did but then theres always some other problem..like my internet suddenly stops working when the router works! and when i disconnect the router, the internet works again! its all too annoying and if i call customer support i wait on the phone for up to an hour until someone picks up! And also there was some DNS server problem and i couldnt pass the Test Xbox Live thing with it so im returning it again! and i think finally il not be a dumbass and carefully buy a modem with inbuilt router that i know has the right NAT settings.

Tryed that, didnt help. But its ok now im on my way to the perfect modem/router iv been given advice from people with experience..EB Games gamers themselves!
