so i've had my 360 for a little over a week and already its stuffing up. It freezes the games so then you have to restart the thing then 10 minutes later it will rob freeze again, Levels dont load properly and every now half way through a game a message pops up on the side saying "disk is unreadable please 1. clean your disk or 2. restart" now my disks are all new with absaloutly no scratches. Any ideas? send it back whatever?

Looks like you got unlucky..with a dead 360. Its happened alot, i dont know what you can do but if it continues to screw up you gotta send it back to MS and they will send you a replacement, man thats bad luck

yeah bad luck i turned it off and left it off for a couple of hours just incase where i had it it was over heating or something and i moved it out into a more open space and its been freezing less but occasionally it still says error on disk.

Either the disk sucks or your 360 sucks.

I had the same problem with the disk reading. Try and take off your Hard Drive and blow inside of it just in case there is any dust in there. I guess that seemed to fix it for me because i never get disc problems ever anymore. I usually had them for Gears, sometimes it would never play but now i never have any problems.

Check the back of your console and you'll see an area with a bunch of information. Look for Manufactured Date and post it here. If it is before August 2007, you most likely have a faulty console and you need to send it in to MS to get a replacement.

Thanks some kind of friend you are....lol and yeah its completely stopped having errors now mysteriously but its good so i dont care how it stopped aslong as it doesn't screw up its all good.

I had the same problem and as i played it started to get better and now its fine. But when i turn it off it sounds like a car just died or something, sounds really weird lol.

I'm on my forth Xbox 360 and I had that problem with my launch console. The symptoms stopped, but like a month after they stopped my Xbox 360 became very loud and one day just died. I hope that doesn't happen to you though.

I had this problem with Oblivion and only Oblivion...no scratches or dents either...
