Hey guys. I run a wired connection from my room to my living room. All has been fine up until a few days ago when my connection started lagging on me. Since then I've been getting bad rep online because people think I am doing it on purpose.
Any suggestions to make it speed up?

Turn your Modem and router on and off while the computer is off, then boot up your xbox. Either that or you could try re-wiring or contacting you ISP and upgrading your internet speed.

A lot of things effect lag on Xbox. What type of router do you have? There are really good routers (like Linksys) then there are the not so good ones. Also it could be from a computer being on, or someone being on the phone. I don't think upgrading your internet speed should do it, it's all about the router it's running through.

It depends on your download speed and upload speed. Bandwith w/e you want to call it. Halo 3 needs high-speed internet. What type of thing do you have?

DSL?
Cable?
Comcast?

Lets see, turn off you computer for one thing when you play. Also you can reset your router before you play, that always works for me to play on a fresh connection. Also I don't know if this a factor but if you have a msn account on your xbox sign out from that.

I never lag unless your Host is some crap.

yeah have your comp turned off and close all programs, make sure dosnt running and stuff.
