Unless one of his cords weren't plugged in all the way. If it was that then he will most likely not get it again .. but if it wasn't then there's a chance that it could.

hmm...idk, maybe it was 4 lights. I know, though, that my brother was with me and the first thing he said was "we got the red ring of death!"

I have a similar problem. Whenever I turn my xbox 360 on it turns green with 3 rings. Like my TV is just black and no picture or sound comes.

Check the plugs in the back of your TV and your Xbox?
