ok look here is 2 ways i usaly open it when it doesnt wanna open give it a nice little smack or get a spoon and open the drive then push it bakc in but now this isnt working and i wanna play! :'(

anyways that happens to me, but i just click it two more times and it opens on the second time.

I hold down the eject button. Do it a few times and it should open, and don't press it, hold it.

Urinate on it... it will short circuit the mechanism and it will open. Actually... it won't do anything except maybe shock you... I would try what IC3 said. That usually works for me when this happens.

This could be a sign that your disk drive may be going out. Mine did this a few months back but it was fine after a day or two.

Mine doesn't open if it doesn't have a disk in it.

Well I sent mine in for this reason and overheating every half hour so hopfully I'll get one that doesn't overheat and quieter. YA FOR WARRANTIES!

Microsoft seems to be too cheap to let you get free repairs even with the Xbox 360 being completely faulty.
