Well I knew this was going to happen but I didn't want to think it would, but my xbox 360 has been overheating for the past month. Not so bad but pass couple of days. Today it overheated 4 times in the past 10 mins. Well I will not be on for 2 weeks starting about couple days from now. Sucks.

Mine has overheated over 20 times all together. I think it's just pointless to have to pay for a repair that shouldn't even be a problem. I get 2 phucking red lights and it's free for 3 red lights. It's stupid, i open my windows and put the intercooler on and I'm good. But when Summer comes I might have to send it in seeing how it wont be as cool as it outside now.

Well good thing I'm under warranty. Also I do have problems with my disk drive sometimes.

Marauder I think we had the same problem, I never got the 2 lights but my xbox would burn my hand sometimes if I touched the back of it. And the disk drive started getting real loud and I got the E74 error. I did the towel trick and it worked again but the disk drive would get stuck, or it would open and close if I pressed the open button.

I sent mine in on Monday I'm sure I'll have it back before the 29th.

My Xbox 360 career has been pretty good. Only got the RROD once and it's been like two years.

Damn your 360 gets just as loud as mine does. But i have the intercooler on so it gets a little louder then yours. Looks like we had similar issues, disc try, overheating, and the loudness of the xbox. But it's still not right. Spending 400 some amount of dollars on a system and then pay again for them to fix it? (No warranty for me) Thats just not right.

Buying an Elite doesn't mean that you won't get RROD. They are the exact same as an Arcade or Pro, just the color is different. People over at xbox.com post stories of their elites breaking in 5 months.

you should install a liquid cooler on your 360

I'd rather pay for the repairs the get a new Xbox which could be defective. Knowing that the can fix it, and my 360 hasn't gotten RRoD i don't think it will.

How do you do that?

3rd-Party Accesories aren't reliable. The best thing you could do atm, is just send it in for repairs.
