Ok, so I'm about to get prestige mode on Call of Duty 4, 80 exp away, but I have to go to work so I get off. Next time I get on(last night to be exact), I unlock prestige mode and go into it. I play about five games or so and get to level 5 and all of a sudden, it says I must have a network connection to find matches. So I restart the game(hit the guide button and hit y to go to dash and then select the game). I go to Xbox Live and in the game lobby, it says I'm a level 55 on regular mode again... so I'm pissed now. I play a game and reach prestige mode AGAIN and get to level 7 and the same thing with the network connection happens again. Once again, I restart the game and get back on Xbox Live and I'm AGAIN a level 55 regular mode. WTF?

It doesnt save your progress until after the match after going into prestige, once you have prestiged you must complete the match. it will then record that you have prestiged and you are on whatever level you are on in it. then it will be ok the next time that you boot up your xbox.

I completed like three matches after i prestiged... lol. I finished all of them.

This happened to my friend on the PS3. Red Line and I were playing at his house on his PS3 and got him up a few ranks. Then all of a sudden it dropped is rank back down. But thats on the PS3, looks like the same is happening for the 360. Don't know what to tall ya man.
