Yeah, I mean, who doesn't like to play/watch their favorite sport on the couch, at their own pace and get to decide the biggest games that their team might have lost? I love sports games, and if they were the only games available, I'd be just as happy with my Madden, NBA 2K and FIFA even if there were no other games ever.

^Well... see... there's the "problem". I don't even like watching sports (Olympics aside). I would rather go out and play sports with my buddies than watch a team make too much money to do the same thing. But that's just me. I can totally understand how most people like watching sports.

Meh, in the summer it's to hot to play football with friends, unless having eachother's sweaty bodies rub against eachother is your thing.

Well me and redline play football so why would we go to the park and play with friends when you have practice all day long. I guess if you play sports you appreciate them more.

Basketball is the any-time sport. You can play it any time in summer, spring, fall, or winter. Because its played indoors.
