Default So Halo: Reach isn't a Natal game, right?

This is weird, but I had a dream last night that there was a Halo game for Natal.

And then I thought about it. Natal comes out in 2010. Halo: Reach comes out in 2010. Why isn't it called Halo 4? Is it because its for Natal?

Probably just my weird rationalizations, but what do you think?
A Halo game for Natal would certainly get more people to purchase it.

Natal looks cool but I prefer traditional gaming to motion sensing, especially if its a Halo game.

I doubt that a halo game will use natal tech, if it does, most likely in minimalistic ways like commanding orders

They could make it full integrated but you can choose to use either.

I doubt that'll happen. But we'll see.

They could make a Halo Wars2 and use Natal as the controls. Like to group units you make a circle around them and then "point" to where you want them to move to. That would be really cool.

I don't think it will be possible for Natal to be used in a FPS without another controller or accessory. Watching the Natal team play Burnout on Jimmy Fallon, you could see that you had to use large motions for simple things such stepping on the gas. Unless you have to make your hand like a gun and create "recoil" there isn't much you can do with a FPS.

I remember reading in an interview that they said they wont abolish the controller for some games, but add Natal in as a compliment.

For example: You're playing a FPS (with controller) and you get shot and need medical assistance, there is no button to call for help, but you can wave your hand in the air to signal a call for help.

That wasnt the example they used (my own creation there), but you get the point I'm making.

I believe what you are saying MrSchmo, but the way they are advertising in on the Jimmy Fallon Show, they were talking about using it for all games, and not have the need for a controller at all. If you still have to use a controller, what is really the point of Natal. I would rather press a button for help (using your example) then have to remove my hand, wave it. Then grab the controller again, to continue playing. Just seems like a cheap way to say "we have motion control" sort of like Sony's cheap Sixaxis. Also, just like Sony's sixaxis, using Natal in that fashion will most likely means it will fail.

Most developers will have to create a control scheme for both Natal and a traditional controller, since they don't want to loose sales. This means people won't see a need for Natal. Unless MS makes something like Wii Sports, Natal doesn't seem to have a future to me. We don't have to look to far in the past and see that EyeToy, which has similar gameplay, didn't take off that well on the best selling console in history.
