GTA IV to be on the Xbox 360 from day one

It’s official; GTA is coming to the 360. At today’s Microsoft Pre-E3 conference, Peter Moore announced that GTA IV is most definitely coming to an Xbox 360 near you, but the shock announcement was that there is a possibility that this GTA will be released first on the 360, then PS3 at a later date.

GTA is set to release onto the 360 on October 19th, 2007 in Europe. What remains certain though is that the 360 will be receiving this game at the very least simultaneously with the PS3, and will have the game from day 1.

This is in stark contrast to the rest of the series, as the Xbox has always previously played second fiddle to the Playstation when it came to GTA.

Looks like times are changing.

Moore also announced that Microsoft and Rockstar have signed an exclusive agreement to supply Xbox Live content.
