Spore coming to Xbox 360
Source: http://www.xbox360news.com/Blogs/News/hqs/blr_4361.aspx If you don’t yet know about Spore, you will soon enough, along with every other inhabitants of this planet. Spore is the next big game from Will Wright , the man behind the ridiculously successful game The SIMS. Spore is easily the most anticipated PC title currently in development, and now it looks like console gamers also will be able to enjoy Will Wright’s masterpiece on their favourite console. Though it must be said that the news is not yet official, the message was pretty clear when Gamespy in a recent interview asked Wright if Spore was still PC only. “Well, actually we are going to go on all platforms, but we will come out on PC first. We will even come out on cell phones and stuff. One of the things in the game is that as you go around and encounter things… creatures and plants, or whatever, you make trading cards of each thing. That is the metaphor for the database -- trading cards. So you can collect your cards. You can print them out. You can now play your own card game. That might be like the cell phone part. That stuff is so light. It's more about collectability as opposed to interaction. Every creature in the PC game is three or four megabytes. But the cards, that is the database that the player is building." So if Will Wright’s own words is anything to go by, and I don’t see how it is not, Spore is definitely heading for next-gen consoles including the Xbox 360. ![]() |

AWESOME!
I was so disappointed when I found out it was gonna be on the PC... I thought, for sure, the 360 would be able to handle it. Apparently...Someone else thought that too. This game is going to be so sweet. I can't wait! |

Spore looks fun. I like how you can create your own creature and then go explore a bunch of different planets. This game would be even more cool if it was an MMO. That way there could be a galaxy of players who could do whatever they want to eachothers planets :P

It kind of is... Remember Will Wright talking about how it takes creatures and resources from other player's worlds??? Not exactly playing with other players...But, still, borrowing from their worlds depending on the needs of your own creature...Great feature. (hoshnap. I rhymed.) @ TFG You can already use USB keybaords on the 360... Not sure about a mouse, though...If not, that can probably be fixed with a 360 update of some kind. |
