The thing that ticks me off is his outright ignorance. This is one example, but how about the time Rockstar announced Bully? All they announced was the name of their next project and he called it a "columbine simulator" (I think it was him) before he had any other information on it. The game contains no guns, last I read, and I'm pretty sure you don't play a bully. Also, what aboutthe article I posted here a while ago? I don't remember names, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Jack Thompson saying some kid got good shooting skills that he killed with from Halo's "sniper mode." What the heck is a "sniper mode?" Do some freaking research!

I think Jack Thompson is stupid for so many reasons.

He comments are so wrong and typical of someone who knows nothing of video games but tries his best to make the worst of things just to do so. Pure adult ignorance.

Rockstar's Bully is a columbine simulator. Very educated comment Mr. Thompson. Oh wait, you said this before details about the game were released and even now it is a T rated game without guns.

Just look at Jack Thompson, he is a grey haird old man who has probably never actually gone and played half the videogames (or probably any) that he complains about.



It is the same way that i don't try and act like i'm a hotshot politician. I really don't know much about that area so i don't blabe my mouth and sound like an idiot about something i know little about.

Correct. If he were an actual "unlockable character" then, yes, he could sue the pants off of the game maker. Since it is only possible to "create" a likeness of him he has no legs to stand on. Also, the game makers don't have any direct control over what a gamer makes their "created" player look like so they can't be held responsible if a kid makes a grey haired old dude and plays with him.
I just wonder how he has time to do anything when he is constantly fighting losing battles against the game industry. This dude needs to get a hooker... badly. ;)
