Inafune says Dead Rising 2 not in production - Joystiq


This is sad news to me. I was expecting a Dead Rising 2 to be out soon that'd fix lots of the problems with the original while being...well...bigger and better. Looks like i'll just have to stick with getting the original Dead Rising for my zombie killing need

This is crap! Really loved the first one and wanted a second one where i could go in a town or a amusements park!!

seriously, imagine how awesome a Dead Rising 2 would be where you get to roam and do missions across an entire city!!!!

The problem is that Dead Rising didn't break 100K in sales in Japan, which is where the developer of the game is located. But still, DR sold over 1 million copies worldwide, so i don't know why they aren't jumping at an opportunity to make another one
