What did you guys think of Dead Rising?

It is only $30, so i'm thinking of getting it now that a sequel probably won't be coming out anytime soon.

I played the demo for 15 minutes and thought it was the greatest game ever in the history of videogames! So I bought it and after playing it for 3 hours... I was bored out of my mind. Honestly, Dead Rising was one of my last game purchases (back when I bought everything) and convinved me to start using Gamefly.

Last year I was so hyped up for this game. I watched zombie movies and wished there was a game I could play where i would have to fight off waves of them in an open area...and along came Dead Rising!

Anyways...

what does it offer in the way of game modes and stuff? Is the single-player long and fun?

Pretty much my least favorite 360 game to date. Like Gravity said, played the demo, loved it! Went in bought it. Got bored within the first day. So Yea I personally don't find it a great purchase. Just go rent it for a week. It only has two modes. On that takes 6 hours any way you spin it and another that is basically a trial run.

If you like killing zombies in grusome and at times funny ways, and have patience for the sort of game it is. Then yeah for $30 its worth it! i bought it for $89 lol.

I REALLY like zombie movies so I thought this game would be awesome. I still like zombie movies... but this game was anything but awesome.

Well the reason for this is actually some of my relatives are asking me what I want for my birthday. I'd feel sort of bad asking for a $60 game though so i'm looking for discounted 360 games.

I loved it and played it untill my hands got sore, its fun, repetitive and extreamy awsome....buy it now!

One of my friends had it when it came out, then he traded it in and thought he was gunna get it back. He never ended up getting it back and then about a week ago a family member got it for him again. Hes been playing it a lot now and says he loves it and doesn't know why he traded it in. He said its a real fun game. I don't know ive never played it but its just what my friend said.

Ok, well I told someone I wanted Dead Rising for my birthday...so thats probably what they'll get me.

Can't wait to play it!

...hopefully my 360 will be back from repair though

I bought Dead Rising not too long ago, and now I'm just kinda bleh about it

The Demo inspired me, I mean, before I was palying the demo and jsut stoped and thouhgt... **** it i'ma go rent this, I go and they didn't have it, so I rented two other games

then I was playng the demo and was all... **** it, and I go and buy the damn thing

For those that played it:

Is there a mode where you can just go into the mall and run around and kill zombies and do whatever you want? I know there is the 72-hour mode which is a story mode, but is there just a free roam mode where you don't have to worry about missions and stuff?

Technically no. There is this mode where you get certain items and take'em back to the base. Then you fight the boss at the end. If you really want, you can take forever in that mode. So yea. ITs basically 2 modes. But you have to beat 72 hour mode to get the other one. Which again, takes 6 hours any way you spin it XD.

Overtime mode is that mode that Recoil speaks of, and No, you cannot take forever in that mode because you have 24 hours before someing Epic happens

Infinity Mode is unlocked after you beat Overtime mode and get the ture ending and such. and Brook isn't that hard

In Infinity Mode, you run kill things that move, and such, and your Health Slowly depletes

so there are 3 Modes.
