August 27, 2007 - On September 17, one of IGN's most anticipated games of the year, Eternal Sonata, ships to stores. The promising RPG from Namco Bandai is set in the fever dreams of Frederic Chopin. On his deathbed, Chopin dreams of a world in terrible danger. Fortunately, ten heroes are willing to band together and battle the evil Count Waltz.
Over the next few weeks, we'll take a look at the ten characters you'll play in Eternal Sonata. Each character comes with their own musical influences and unique attacks. Of course, words mean little for a videogame, so expect videos showing off the skills of each character in Eternal Sonata.
Frederic Francois Chopin 
He is a renowned composer and a pianist. In the world of his dreams, he meets Polka, a young girl with an incurable illness, who is the same age his younger sister Emelia was when she died of tuberculosis. Chopin adventures with his companions in search of answers in a world which is slowly becoming his new reality.
Polka 
Polka has powerful magic abilities, which in turn means that she is doomed to die. Faced with this sad fate, she nonetheless refuses to give up hope, and uses her magic for the benefit of others. Although she is reviled and shunned because of her illness, she holds within her a burning desire to save the people she loves. Polka lives with her mother in the village of Tenuto. She sells a medicinal herb that her village Is famous for, but business is poor lately due to the appearance of a far cheaper alternative. Polka goes on an journey with Chopin in the hope of finding a way to save her village from economic ruin.
Allegretto 
A young man standing up to the contradictions of the world...
Though Allegretto is poor, he is good-natured at heart. He is a thief who steals bread in order to feed children who are not able to feed themselves. However, he realized long ago that this was not a solution to the underlying problem

Good story info... I just hope this game isn't the complete and utter suckage that Two Worlds has threatened to become. I need a good RPG bad...
