Many reviewers called BioShock the best game on Xbox 360...and the best game of the year so far.
Now that most of you here have gotten to play through it, is BioShock really as superb as they say? |

No. I rented it and beat it in 3 days. Very good story but took a while i just played the game constantly. Would not play through it again, maybe go some places to get achievements but not play through it again. The turn off was no multiplayer. I know a great game doesn't need multiplayer but were in the generation where people expect to have multiplayer, and thats why it was a rent and not the best game for the 360 IMO.

As great as the graphics were, the environment didn't change very much when I played. I liked the story in how an aqua city become corrupted by super-advanced drugs. It is one of the better games on Xbox 360, but the best, I don't think so.

Nope. Its great and all, i even bought it in its bootiful metal case
but yes it has no multiplayer and once you clock the storyline a couple of times it gets repedative as you can imagine. I also find it hard to even call one game the "best on 360" because that will always change in the near future..for now im thinking Halo 3 will take the trophy, and hold on to it for awhile, through the end of this year and into 2008. But i still have very high hopes for Mass Effect aswell.

I put 'yes' but I almost put 'no'. I agree, in part, with everyone who said that they said 'no' because of no MP. I don't quite agree with that... for me it's more about the replayability. If the game had more replayability then it would easily be the best game on the 360 to date. I still said 'yes' because of the GREAT story, graphics, sound, etc. Bioshock is an amazing game and while I was playing it I was so emmersed and excited... that is hard to do.

MP: You each start on different sides of the map and it's a contest to see who can harvest the most Adam from the LS. You've gotta race into the level, find the LS and BD and then defeat the BD so you can harvest the LS. While doing this the other player can be working on a different set of BD/LS, helping you with yours or waiting for you to kill the BD so they can kill you and harvest the LS. <---- That would be crazy fun and a different take on MP then most games.

As far as Crysis goes, I read it somewhere that they're planning on releasing it on X360 in about a month or so, after its official release on PC. But you never know, so lets keep out fingers crossed. BTW, one game I think will definitely blow BioShock and other "Best Game for X360" contenders out of the water, is Resident Evil 5!
