Alright, what i did was i just went with the flow of the story. It led me to which city i needed to go to, but once you get to a certain point in story it wont tell you where to go each time in the city. What you have to do is go to a generally tall building in the city, and look in the sky for eagles circling buidings. It wont be marked on your map, but you will see them. That generally gives you the place of where you have to go. So if you are told to go to a city and it looks like there is nothing left to do there, there is something. Look for the eagle, walk around that building and you should find your objective. Now for completing each memory block, i went back after i beat the game and started completing all the objectives in each city giving me an achievement. Hope this helps.

Lol i get the reasoning on how no one is suppose to notice you assassinate someone. But if i saw someone with his arm wrapped around someones neck with their hand to their throat, i'd run the f*ck away.

Thats one thing i didn't like. The dialogue was so long and boring I'd take a nap through it. I already knew what the story was about, i didn't really want to listen to most of it. Their forcing you to listen to it, but it always doesn't mean people will understand it.
