According to the source Bioshock 2 is now in pre-preproduction phase and 2k plans to release it in summer 2009. I haven't played BioShock so i'm not sure how it ended, but this prequel idea sounds interesting. And it'd be cool to play through the transition from normalcy to the underwater city.

Judging on the ending, it HAS to be a prequel. You pretty much clean house in Bioshock.

I hope the story is a bit longer in BioShock 2. The first one was too short for me and thats why it was only a rental.
