January 22, 2008 - In a little over a month, gamers get the chance to kill Nazis in Manhattan. Thanks to the clever premise of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, the world has been besieged by Hitler's goon squad. New York is under attack and the rest of the world has already been squashed under the heel of the Nazi army. What many gamers don't know is that Turning Point takes you well beyond the crowded streets of New York. In fact, after defending Manhattan against the Nazis, you head to London to continue the fight.
Codemasters provides first details on what to expect when you storm the Tower of London.

Environment

The first level in London takes place at the world famous Tower Bridge. Players will start out at the very bottom underneath the bridge and work their way up the bridge to the very top in an attempt to board a Nazi mother ship zeppelin. In this mission you will see a variety of Nazi war machines including zeppelins, tanks, APCs, patrol boats, and the massive zeppelin mother ship. Players can expect to encounter stiff resistance from all forms of Nazi firepower as the traverse through the level to reach the top of the tower. The mission takes place at night which will give you the element of surprise and the opportunity to sneak up on your enemies.
London fog is in full effect.
Once you're under the bridge the sheer size of it and the mother ship is amazing. The Tower Bridge is big but the zeppelin mother ship hovering above is massive. Players will really get a great sense of how big the ship really is. Climbing up the bridge is anything but easy, once in the tower players will encounter heavy resistance as they work there way up to the top of the bridge. Patrol boats will be trying to stop you when you're in the lower portion of the bridge moving across the scaffolding underneath. When players are nearing the top assault blimps will be hovering over head trying to take you out. Each assault blimp carries a heavy machine gun turret and a crew up to 2 soldiers that will be shooting down at you.
Once players reach the top of the bridge they will find themselves under the massive mother ship zeppelin. The bottom of the zeppelin is armed with about four to five heavy turrets and is capable of being destroyed.
Storming the tower won't be easy.

Enemies

Throughout the entire level players will encounter countless Nazi foot soldiers hell bent on stopping you from reaching the top. Players will face all types of Nazi troops including Riot troopers, Security troops, officers, airship pilots, and the lethal Nachtjager Corps. These troops will not go down easily without a fight. They will be armed to the teeth with every type of weapon ranging from assault rifles to rocket launchers.
Nazis are vulnerable to fire!

Strategies

Engaging the enemy in the tower will take more than just running up into a room and shooting at random and hoping to hit something. Players will have to incorporate a number of different strategies and tactics to overcome defeat. When facing off against The Assault Blimps and Patrol Boats in the level the best offense is using the rocket launcher against them so as player's progress through the level we strongly suggest you keep one handy. Once players enter the tower it will turn into close quarters combat. Players should then switch to either a shot gun or Assault rifle.
Using the games new and unique grappling system, it's highly effective especially the "Human Shield" feature which is great when the player is in a room full of solders this maneuver can definitely turn the fight in your favor. The other feature which is very fun to use is called the "instant kill" feature. This feature is very useful when the player either runs out of ammo or does not have enough time to reload, so by pressing the melee button the character will then execute a quick a lethal move to finish off the enemy. Using both these maneuvers will help you out a lot if caught in a tough situation and also make for fun and interesting game play.
Make sure every toilet in London is spotless.
The use of grenades is highly recommended for clearing out rooms or throwing them into a group of soldiers. Incorporating these tactics and strategies among other ones is a key ingredient in defeating your enemies and achieving victory.

It could be cool. It probably won't be... I don't know how I feel about this one yet. It is done by Codemasters who did Jericho which is a sweet game... so it definitely could have some potential.
