Because our free mods/hacks/skins are either user created, or are supported by a sponsor (Like Nvidia did for the CoD4 maps).
That is good for EA, but news like this will make EA think that their DLC plan is a good thing, and other people in the gaming community will say hey EA is making money by doing this so lets try it. Also, they are including EA's Store as DLC. You can buy games via EA's Store digitally on PCs, similar to Steam. I would like to know what percentage of their 90 million is from games sold from EA's Store, compared with the actual DLC content for games. I would say that a majority of the sales are from games from their store. |
