Pretty pointless. But if he becomes famous like MLG or something lol, good for him. It sounds like hes trying to make a career out of it and that's great if he succeeds, if its just for nothing then i would have suggested he stay in school.

I think the reasons that the parents give as the why they let him drop out is crazy. He is not liked at school, and isn't doing well so we let him drop out. Just because he is not liked does not mean you should encourage him to stop doing what he is doing. If he is doing bad, then pay for a tutor, we know you have the money because that is what you are doing now.
Seems like they are encouraging him to just throw away his life at hopeless dreams, just because he won a few local tournaments at something. |

It's not really geeky to be good at it, but i do agree with dscuber9000 that it really isn't impressive to be good at Guitar Hero anymore. Watching it people be great at it, just gets boring. It's like another Gears of War Sniping montage.
