you say that the games are "empty" the times ive played the ps3 none of them are "empty". and the time that ive played with a mic 90-100 percent of people use their mics. the bottom line is that your paying 50 dollars a year for online play. thats all. if you didnt sign up for the online play thats just silly and a waste of 50 dollars. "no im paying 50 for the community", "im paying 50 for the updates". your paying 50 bucks to talk to people while you play online? thats a bit spoiled to me. playstation network isnt as good as xbox live in terms of numbers and communities, but its not by much either. theres definintly not enough difference to pay 50 bucks for. and the software update for the NXE looks alot like the XMB to me, just inverted. the playstation doesnt need any major revamps because thats worked out fine so far. all the other software updates are free. and like i said before microsoft patents E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G they put into the xbox 360. so that way there wouldnt be any copiers, and thats whats good in releasing a console before the others. ps4 so far is rumored to be in 2011 and xbox 3 is rumored to be in 2012. i prepare myself for the future. if they release it first, chances are they'll be ahead. same thing happened with the ps2 and xbox 1. and if thats the case with halo and gears where some matches are dead silent. which is true. playstation network isnt that all much different expect this time people actually have an excuse. xbox live most people have a mic but dont use it. playstation network, most people dont have mics. i guess the best way to put it is: On xbox live your paying 50 extra dollars a year to play online and talk with people at the same time, a few extra features or functions, and software updates. while playstation network offers all those things with a bit less features or people for free. |

This really is an empty debate... no one is going to change Steveo's mind and he isn't going to change anyone elses mind either. I have both systems and prefer XBL hands down to PSN... maybe XBL is the choice of an older, educated and wealthy demographic?
Lol...

I own all of the current gen consoles and handhelds...I really couldn't give up any of them. I love my PS3,and my Xbox 360 just as much. To me the only thing that PS3 has over 360 is Blu-ray. Determining the quality of games is all up to the person. I mean I would say wait for Fable 2, and GeOW2 to come out before selling your Xbox 360. If those games don't interest you though, then if you need the extra money, then it might be a good decision.
If you can survive with holding on, then my advice would be to wait. I gurantee after a few months, you'd be glad you didn't sell it. |

like i said in my first post. ill probably only sell my xbox 360 by the end of this year or next year. i have gears of war 2 reserved and selling it beforehand would be idiotic.
im mainly keeping my xbox untill it move my games on my xbox to the ps3, and untill i get bored of gears of war 2, halo 3 expansion and if they release a halo 4. ive already migrated grand theft auto iv, call of duty 4, oblivion, and burnout paradise to my ps3. all i need now is splinter cell da, graw 2, and rainbow six vegas 2. shadow run, viva pinata, halo, halo 2, and gears of war ill try to get on the pc. TRY. halo 3 is xbox exclusive,, so is crackdown and gears of war 2, it may be a waste of money transferring all these games, but ill probably end up saving more in the long run. so ill still be online for live, IF i get the pc games. except its fortunately free. |

So you hate paying $50 a year for Live but you'll rebuy all of your games?! That makes no sense. You would have to play those games on your PS3 for years and years and years to even break even on that.

Here are some perks.
PS3 - Free online, good games will eventually come out in the near future. Home is pretty tight. Six Axis controllers are decently good. Xbox 360 - Pay to play, but comes with lots of features. Very good games that come out consistently. No droughts! Really, the only thing I hate about Xbox 360 is the marketplace, and the strict staff.
