Yeah i read this too. They cut half of the things that was going to be in the full update. It's probably to leave them with more updates to come which could be included in this one.

I was thinking that myself when I heard this a couple weeks ago. I guess they got complaints in the beta that the console was crashing under the massive load so they're planning to upgrade NXE months at a time. I'm suspecting by Summer 09 to have everything we were promised + stuff we didn't think about.

so many gaming companies are doing that these days. Releasing an incomplete product and relying on updates to fix the problems.

I kind of miss the good ol' days where we could just wait until a complete package was released.

^I don't know... I remember buying "complete packages" and having tons of issues and glitches. I think companies rely too much on updates and patches but at least they do them more often now to fix issues.

Xbox 360 = Complete Package = Fail.

2005-2007 was filled with RROD consoles. Do you really want that? I'd rather have a stable experience rather than a glitchy one.

In that sense then I don't think when it first came out that it was a complete package.

Microsoft did handle their problems well by expanding the warranty.

Yeah... I still got like one more year of RROD coverage until it expires.
