Not having live I can't get the New Xbox Experience. I'm not missing out on much am I?

Sometimes new games have updates on them, and update your xbox before you can play them. Is there or will there be any games that have the NXE update?

Don't know, but when you ask are you missing out...your missing out as much as your missing out on Xbox Live in full, the updates great but most of the features are for Live so other than it being neater, better looking, and faster to navigate: your not missing out on something incredibly exciting, but it is nice.

If any games have update it won't be any now. Maybe some 2009 games. I'm just curious if NXE is really that awesome. Is it more than the avatar guys and new dashboard?

Besides the features that have been actually added (Avatars, Party, Netflix) Its just a makeover of rearranging everything. The friends list is stupid now IMO but the simple version of it can be accessed by using the guide button thankfully. While it does look abit confusing to use at first, i think i and others that feel the same will feel more adjusted to it soon.

Uh... he's missing out on games downloading onto his system and running quicker and more quietly. I'd say that's a pretty big thing.

I actually find that unnecessary, whats so good about wasting time downloading a game you already have to your hard drive ? faster loading times and more quiet ? those aren't really even an issue to begin with.

After much thought, i actually think its INCREDIBLY ridiculous and pointless. Those that can't wait 5 seconds for a loading screen and have super sensitive hearing to be disturbed by the 360s "loudness" should not play the games then.

^That is one of the most ridiculous things I've read today. I don't understand why you're always so down on improvements. Any and all improvements are a good thing. To constantly stream line performance is a necessity of business and technology.
Are you using the same PC you were years ago? Because they've gotten quieter and load quicker now too... so... if you aren't I'll take your current PC... since it's "INCREDIBLY ridiculous and pointless".

I guess I'm with Calo on this one. The loading times aren't a problem for me, and if they are for people then you must not have any patience at all. The only reason i would do it, is to make my xbox quiet because it's so loud. I really don't see how it's that great of an update to it, but that's just me.

I belive you can update your 360 with a flashdrive with the file on it. Look around MS they might have it.

Also I do not have NXE as of right now, my xbox is in for repair.

Yeah, I have to say, some of the load times on some games really piss me off. Nice to know that can all be adjusted.

I think you're actually right.

I can probably find the file on the internet for you Imperial, if you would like to transfer it from your flashdrive to your 360. I'm pretty sure you could do that.

your not missing out on much except the avatars, but thats not that great either. and if you dont play on an hdtv it shouldnt affect you that much either.

the old xbox without xbox live looks better than the nxe without xbox live.

if you dont have xbox live and you have the nxe, then like 90% of the visual experience and interface is missing.

where as if you have the old xbox interface without xbox live then 10-.1% of the visual experience is missing
