Microsoft Corp. today announced the broader availability of Xbox 360 consoles in Europe. Beginning this week, Microsoft will distribute a significantly increased quantity of Xbox 360 consoles to the retail channel on a weekly basis. With component supplies in full production and third manufacturing partner Celestica Inc. now producing the next-generation console along with partners Wistron Corp. and Flextronics Corp., Microsoft is producing more Xbox 360 consoles than ever.
“We’re very pleased to be announcing that even more Xbox 360 consoles are making their way to retail, helping the satisfy the huge demand for the definitive next-gen games and entertainment system,” said Chris Lewis, Regional Vice President, EMEA, Home and Entertainment Division, Microsoft. “With 65 high-def and Xbox Live Arcade games available in Europe by June, and new content and experiences coming to Xbox Live all the time, there has never been a better time to own an Xbox 360.”
