games, and whats better is user opinion. those are facts.

pc's are good but, cost alot (for those who want pretty games), dont have games that consoles have, and dont have great services like xbox live or psn.

ever since ive gotten my PS3 ive fallen in love with that system. seriously the only thing thats making me keep my xbox 360 is its exclusives like halo, and gears of war.

You can't really say the PS3 is better nor worse than the Xbox 360. They're pretty much the same...

in terms of hardware, yes i can say that the PS3 is better than the Xbox 360. why do you think that the 360's price's dropped? because the xbox 360 is low tech and doesnt cost much to manufacture it. opposite with the ps3.

now in terms of user database, sales, online service, and functionality the xbox 360 is dominant over the ps3.

graphics are basically the same in most instances. but larger games like oblivion, or mercenaries 2 would require texture compression to fit onto an xbox dvd. on ps3 bluray texture compression is absent in most games.

the ps3 and xbox 360 are not "pretty much the same". they are entirely different consoles with entirely different hardware specs, and software functionality.

So, you're saying that its alright to pay a lot more money for the PS3 which doesn't have any noticeable difference to the Xbox 360?

other than its blu-ray drive, built in b/g wi-fi. gigabit ethernet port, 8 core 64-bit processor (1 core with 7 spe's), xdr ram, and blazing fast gpu. with a free online service?

the xbox 360 seems like a more expensive deal to me, when i bought it for 400 dollars, with a 100 dollar wireless network adapter, and 100 (already 2 years of live so far) dollars for xbox live. thats 200 dollars more than what i paid for the ps3!

I got my Xbox 360 with total costs for 400 dollars.
The PS3 at the time was 600 dollars.

Anyways, I don't see gameplay differences between the two games. Other than the shadows are slightly better on the PS3.

depending on if you bought the wireless adapter like i did, and pay for 2 years so far of xbox live, you end up paying an equal amount for a PS3, or more (like me).

but chances are you'll probably end up paying more for an xbox 360 (the console, wireless [if you need it], xbox live) by the end of this console generation, then you would for a ps3 at the beginning.
